I had my first OC shabu shabu experience here and it was fantastic. It's located in an artsy part of Downtown Santa Ana with plenty of street parking nearby. I choose the spicy miso broth and the combo meat. So I got 5 oz each of pork and beef. Next time I would do the sharing option, it's a lot of food and you get to choose two broths. The beef was very good, make sure you don't let it cook in the broth too long. The atmosphere was upbeat and the employees were very nice, I can't wait to go back.
Hidden in DTSA. Great staff, super fresh food and delicious broths. No complaints and I will definitely go back. Oh, the serving sizes for an individual can feed a family of six!

The food was amazing. Very flavorful, the crispy tofu and fried fish balls were very good. The staff was super friendly and on top of things. I got a great drink recommendation from our server. The sunset rio which was very refreshing. The spicy miso was very flavorful and definitely worth it.
We had a great time at Kaizen! It was our second time having Shabu Shabu and we loved it! The costumer service was really good and our server was very friendly. The place was pretty clean and nice. The out door space was also nice. Their pork broth is so good and their ribeye is also a great choice of meat. The price is reasonable compare to other Shabu places.
The waiter was extremely helpful! Being I never had shabu shabu before he spent the time to explain everything to me, then he helped me pick 2 delicious broths ( tonkatsu and creamy vegetable) and the best meats. Well worth every penny spent for the 3 of us! The owner stopped by and was so nice. Definitely will come back! The takoyaki and gyoza appetizers were amazing as well.

My family and I are on vacation and our son wanted to try the famous Hot Pots we see all over online. This way by far way way better then what we expected, as soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat. The service was beyond exceptional. Amazing food amazing dessert thank you
Stopped in here with a date. We weren't extremely hungry, just wanted some soup to sooth our belly/ throats. So we decided to share a soup here. Customer service was optimal. Staff were attentive and professional. Facilities clean and well maintained. Drinks were delicious. Will surely return many times.
Fell in love with their Stir-fried udon and came back the following day for more. The place is really nice, the atmosphere, the staff and the food. I am really happy that my friend showed me this gem. I have yet to try their shabu, but I have a feeling I won’t be disappointed as well. Their portions are big and reasonably priced. Their draft beer is also priced well compared to a lot of other similar places. I will definitely be coming back soon.
